Nestled in the verdant green of the TorreMirona Golf
& Spa Resort, Villa Amora is a 3 bedroom semi-detached
property equipped to the highest standards - a true home
from home.
We fell in love with the villa immediately we walked
into the spacious open-plan lounge diner and saw the spectacular
views towards the distant snow-capped Pyrenees Mountains
beyond the manicured gardens and large blue swimming pool.
The house is modern yet preserves a quaint Spanish feel
to it, with its narrow tiled staircase up to the master
bedroom with twin beds, ensuite bathroom and own small
dressing area.
Two further twin bedded rooms with family bathroom between
are situated on the ground floor completing the sleeping
arrangements. A fully fitted kitchen with excellent range
of cooking utensils, fridge freezer, microwave oven, hob
and oven, washing machine, iron and ironing board allow
you complete control over domestic arrangements.
The open-plan lounge dining room has plenty of comfortable
seating, table and chairs. Your own private garden and
terrace open up onto the large communal swimming pool
which is only shared between the horseshoe of 20 houses
that make up Golf Royal.
Beautifully laid out, Villa Amora is a joy to spend time
in, especially when you can relax with a glass of wine
on the terrace and watch the sun go down after a hard
day on holiday! If you are into playing golf, it is paradise,
with the course less than one minutes walk away. Tennis
is also on site along with gymnasium and spa, making it
the ideal spot for the whole family.
The resort boasts a 5 star hotel with the El Canigo restaurant,
Lobby Bar, Golf Lounge and Pool Grill providing a wide
range of Mediterranean/Catalan dining experiences on site,
together with wi-fi internet connection at the hotel,
24 hour security on the resort, this has to be one of
the best equipped properties in the district.
With the Bay of Roses just 20 minutes away by car, TorreMirona
Golf & Spa Resort offers the best of both worlds;
golf, tennis, fully equipped gym and spa together with
the allure of the Mediterranean Sea, sand and sun.
A further nine excellent golf courses are within easy
reach, each with different challenges and breathtaking
views. Four of the courses are highly rated amongst European
golf courses, making the Costa Brava Spain's number one
golfing destination. All guests of Villa Amora are entitled
to 15% discount off their green fees.
Why not make Villa Amora your base for exploring the
Costa Brava. The original "Costa" - Costa Brava
is rather the forgotten Costa, having maintained the 50's
glamour, but thankfully lost the "fish & chips,
burger and a pint with everything aura.
Sophisticated restaurants, small intimate bistros, cheery
cafes beside small sandy beaches, shops that even draw
the discerning Frenchman across the border, this is a
wonderful coast devoid, in the main, of the high rise
concrete jungle of other Costas.
Inland from the coast stretches emerald green wine growing
country and farmland, supplying fresh produce and great
wine to the local supermarkets.
Salvador Dali was born and died in Figueres, where his
museum, The Dali Theatre Museum is located and is certainly
the most unusual building I have ever seen. Figueres is
about 10 minutes drive down the road from the resort.
It really is worth taking a look, it is stunning. Dali
was a striking character and his art imitated his life.
Dali designed the Chupa Chups lollipop logo, which is
still in use today.
A car is essential to fully explore the area and to make
the most of your holiday. The nearest small supermarket
is about 3 minutes drive to Navata, with a much larger
range of shops in Figueres, 10 minutes in the car.
