The villa is located in La Sella Golf, a prestigious
development situated just behind the coast near Denia
and approximately midway between Alicante and Valencia
airports. The journey from both is easy. It is almost
all motorway and takes approximately 75 minutes. The nearest
motorway junction is situated only 5km from the villa.
A short flight of steps lead from the private garden
up to a covered terrace. Double doors give access to the
main living area comprising a fairly spacious and comfortably
furnished lounge/dining room, with TV and DVD player;
a fully-equipped kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven,
fridge/freezer, etc and having separate laundry room with
automatic washing machine; two, air-conditioned, bedrooms
– one with double bed, the other with twin beds;
these both share a shower room. A tiled staircase leads
to the upper floor on which is the attractively furnished
master bedroom, with double bed, en-suite bathroom and
having a private terrace that enjoys marvellous views
across the valley.
The villa is professionally cared for by a local, English
owned and run villa management company. They will be on
hand throught the duration of your stay to assist you
with any query or problem that might arise.
Situated on the border of the Montgó natural park,
the La Sella Golf course has 18 holes, is of a moderate
length and a par of 72. It is not a particularly tiring
course to play and the designers of the course, helped
by José María Olazábal have ensured
it is a suitable challenge for players of all levels.
Its water features, pine trees, orange trees, olives and
almonds add variety and colour to the course and, although
pretty to look at, will cause big problems for less accurate
players. The development also offers a number of excellent
tennis courts, horse riding, restaurants and shopping
facilities.
The area offers plenty to see and do. The historic market
towns of Denia and Javea are only a twenty minutes' drive
from the villa. They now have a wide assortment of shops,
bars and restaurants plus attractive beaches. The sandy
beach north of Denia stretches for 10 km as far as Oliva.
Denia also offers a daily ferry service to Ibiza and Majorca.
Further afield, Benidorm is, by far, the biggest tourist
centre of the coast and is located approximately forty
minutes away. Its theme parks - Terra Mitica, Aqualandia,
Terra Natura and Mundomar - and other attractions provide
lively entertainment for young and old throughout the
year.
