Quinta da Matina is a private converted farmhouse situated
on the edge of a small village called Portelas just 2
kilometres north of Lagos and Meia Praia (the bay of Lagos
which is about 3 kilometres long) and the beaches in Lagos.
The west coast with even quieter beaches and large waves
for surfing is some 20 minutes drive.
Views from the farmhouse are of open totally unspoilt
countryside with three of the four bedrooms overlooking
and having direct access to the very large swimming pool
measuring 15 meters x 5 meters. The pool area can be secured
against small children.
The accommodation comprises of four double bedrooms,
three of which have en-suite bathrooms, there is a large
lounge with television, large dinning room, kitchen with
cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, additionally
in the utility room is a washing machine and deep freeze.
Outside and around the pool which has underwater lighting
creating a luxurious ambience at night, there is a mature
walled garden with palm trees and other sub tropical plants.
There are sun and shaded terraces, double purpose built
barbeque, table seating and sun loungers.
Maid service is provided five mornings a week and car
hire can be arranged to meet you at Faro airport.
Lagos is the most beautiful town in the Algarve and has
calçada paved streets with many interesting shops,
a multitude of indoor and outdoor restaurants, lively
bars, street artists and disco’s.
Being just 2 kilometres from the town of Lagos the farmhouse
will appeal to discerning people wishing to be away from,
but within easy access of the town, yet in the tranquility
of the countryside. Locally there are several first class
golf courses, nearby horse riding facilities, tennis,
marina and water sports all within a short drive. Faro
airport is under one hours drive.
