Nuestro Castillo is a beautifully traditional & stylish
Spanish villa in Mijas (Costa del Sol), available for
rent all year round. It will accommodate up to 10 people
and has additional baby facilities. Situated in the scenic
Mijas hills, it is 2km from Mijas town centre and only
20 minutes drive from Malaga airport. Marbella and Puerto
Banus take about 30 minutes by car & you will find
plenty of good beaches within a 15-minute drive. The luxurious
5 bedroom accommodation is divided between two storeys.
Each floor is self-contained with air-conditioning, own
kitchen, bathroom (2 bathrooms /1 shower room) and one
dinning room and two spacious living areas including a
second dinning room table. This villa is ideal for two
families wanting the option to spend time apart, rather
than living in each others pockets. The villa has been
cleverly designed for security and privacy around the
pool, garden and BBQ areas, whilst retaining panoramic
views of the Mijas Mountain, Fuengirola and the Mediterranean
sea from the upper level veranda /living area. On a clear
day you will be able to see Morocco and on clear nights
you can experience the sight of the romantic silvery reflections
of the moon on the Mediterranean sea.
If you think you will need to get bottled water on holiday
here 'don't bother'. The water supply to the house comes
from the Mijas mountains and is so pure that a company
in Mijas town actually makes money from bottling it.
Designed by Pepe Martin (well known for his unusual designs),
the villa has a number of unusual features. One of these
is internal walls made of thermal blocks. This keeps the
house unusually cool during the hottest months of the
years. Features often remarked on by customers, are the
timber roof beams in all living areas, the open circular
copper fire place (main living area), Portuguese marble
floors and the remote controlled garden lighting for those
of you interested in gadgets.
The villa has been recently upgraded throughout with
new furniture /kitchen equipment and garden furniture.
House Management -We have a house manager who is available
at all times as is common with villas of this size and
quality. When you arrive at the Villa he will meet you
and show you round the property. A welcome pack of basic
food items and condiments is provided for free. Extra
fresh linen can be provided weekly for small charge, with
the tending of the pool & gardens included in the

offices inside/outside of Malaga airport. All car hires

Mijas - Mijas municipality has a surprisingly large population
(42,283 people) and includes a number of coastal developments
- Calahonda, Riviera del Sol, Sitio de Calahonda, Cala
de Mijas... The municipality covers some 148 square kilometres,
including twelve kilometres of some of the best coves
and beaches on the Costa del Sol. Mijas is widely acknowledged
to be one of the most attractive mountain ‘pueblos’
(village) in the south of Spain, having spectacular views
over the Costa del Sol. There are many designated viewing
points, and many wonderful views (please email info@casamijas.com
for website URL containing pictures of views) which can
be had from some of the excellent restaurants and cafes
in the area. As an Andalusian 'white village' Mijas has
managed to conserve its essentially Arabic mediaeval appearance.
This gives Mijas a slightly exotic feel that many visitors
find hard to explain.
Sports - There are 33 golf courses on the Costa Del Sol,
several of which are within half an hour's drive of Neustro
Castillo. The Law Hoad Tennis Club is only 10 minutes
walk from the villa. Horse riding, go karting and Mijas
Aqua Park are all within 10 minutes drive. The beautiful
ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is only 2 hours drive
away. In Nerja some 30 minutes drive from the Villa is
some of the best scuba diving available anywhere in the
Mediterranean.
Shopping Malls, Supermarkets (with ATM machines), restaurants,
fast food, chemists and banks are all within 15 minutes
drive. Local Super Market is only 15 minutes walk.
