If you are thinking of renting a holiday villa in Alcudia and have not visited the area before then the following facts and personal recommendations from our staff will help you become familiar with this resort.

Situated in northern Mallorca (or Majorca), the town of Alcudia is steeped in history and beauty. The town itself does not have a beach however just a short drive away from your Alcudia villa or apartment there are a great selection of beaches in the resort areas of Marina, Mal Pas and Barcares.

If you decide you want to eat out, Alcudia has it's fair choice of restaurants, most of which are aimed at the more discerning of tourist. Although most apartments and villas in Alcudia offer a high standard of accommodation and outside dining facilities, it's sometimes nice to eat out, but don't expect to find a McDonalds!

For those shoppers among us, Alcudia has a market which is operated on Tuesdays and Sundays where a number of stalls offer all manner of unusual items. The shops are aimed at the permanent residents of Alcudia. Villas are located outside of the main built-up areas however getting around by car is fairly easy, but steer clear of the main town centre on market days, when the traffic can be heavy and slow.

The area north of the main town is popular for its quiet and unspoilt feel which offers lovely trails for walkers and cyclists. Recently this area has seen an increase in the development of apartments. Alcudia is a great spot for a family holiday and a fantastic base to explore this enchanted Balearic Island.
