Tenerife is the largest in terms of population and tourism of all the Canary Islands. The volcanic landscape and wonderful beaches make it a perfect place for renting villas in Tenerife many of which are located in friendly resort areas with amenities for all the family.

The Island of Tenerife has been a popular place for tourists for many years and the boom in visitor numbers during the past 20 years has increased the islands tourist industry and wealth, much of which has been put back into making this island one of the top European holiday destinations. There are plenty of Tenerife villas to rent, Tenerife apartments and luxury resort style hotels situated directly on their own private beach close to the sea.

The warm climate of Tenerife is year-round lasting, with the summer months reaching well into the 30’s. During the winter months many people choose a holiday villa in Tenerife as a place to relax and enjoy the bright daytime sun which for many seems a long way from the gloom of the winter months back home. The bustling town of Playa de las Americas situated on the south coast of Tenerife is a popular spot for the younger holiday maker, so if its relaxation and culture that you want from a holiday villa Tenerife then the quieter resorts such a Los Cristianos, Costa del Selencio, Las Galletas and Arona are worth a look.

It is worth noting that Tenerife South and Tenerife North can have very different year-round temperatures due to the Teide National Park mountain area. The North of the Island is known to be cooler and sometimes suffers from cloudy days. This having said, there are still wonderful places to visit and apartments in Tenerife can be found in the town of Puerto de la Cruz to the North, so check the weather in Tenerife before you book.
